| Plant Tour to ANDRITZ plus Wine Tasting Tour to Seggau Castle |
| On April 20, 2012 WFC11 delegates had the possibility to participate at the WFC11 post Congress plant tour to the ANDRITZ Headquarter in Graz followed by a wine tasting tour. The ANDRITZ GROUP is a global market leader for customized plant, systems and services for hydropower, the pulp and paper, steel and other specialized industries (solid/liquid separation, feed and biofuel). The Group is headquartered in Graz, Austria and has a staff of approx. 14,700 employees worldwide. It develops and makes its high-tech systems at production, service and sales sites all around the world. Founded in 1852, the ANDRITZ Graz workshop manufactures components for the major business areas within Andritz (hydro power, pulp and paper, environmental and metals industries). On the tour participants were introduced to major workshops and the manufacturing process of Andritz products. It is Andritz' strategy to manufacture the key proprietary components for our equipment in-house to ensure that the most stringent quality requirements are adhered to. Many other components are subcontracted within our network of certified facilities. This way Andritz has direct control over capacity management and cost leadership. Wine Tasting Tour to Seggau Castle The plant tour was followed by a wine tasting to to Seggau Castle. Beneath poplars and chestnut trees, where the Klapotetz beats time, life revolves around wine. An internationally more and more popular variety of local white wine reach the peak of maturity amidst the gentle hills of southern Styria.Wine-tasting and a cellar tour of the 300 year year-old Episcopal Seggau Castle will help you acquire a taste for it. A hearty snack of assorted homemade Styrian delicacies amidst the vineyards is highlight of this tour.
