Congress History

The first World Filtration Congress, held in 1974, was informally coordinated by a number of individual organizations, each acting independently. In 1990, INDEFI - International Delegates on Filtration - was created as an umbrella body to coordinate and widen the competition to organize future Congresses. WFC11 was very sucessfully held in Austria and attended by 760 delegates from 50 countries, 100 exhibitors and a total of 1800 participants.
